2.4 Note:
To determine the frequency delivered by a flash stroboscope or a rotating disk with slits,
simply project the light emitted by the stroboscope on the photoresistor and view the
signal on an oscilloscope.
2.5 Using optocouplers to electrically
separate 2 circuits:
In electrical set-ups, we are often faced with problems of grounding (0 volts on certain
points of the circuit). The use of optoelectronic components solves these problems by
ensuring an optical communication between 2 circuits, which cannot have common
electrical points.
In this set of accessories, the transmitter and receiver are not connected electrically if
each one of them is powered by a 9-volt battery.
Before acquiring these components, disconnecting transformers were used.
