In addition to conventional steam-ironing, the iron can also emit a strong blast of steam,
e.g. for smoothing stubborn creases or textiles which are hanging up.
1. Make sure that the water reservoir (2) is fi lled.
2. Move the temperature control (9) to the high (•••) to maximum temperature.
3. Once the device has reached the set temperature, the control lamp (8) goes out. The
iron is ready for use.
4. When performing vertical steam-ironing on delicate fabrics, hold the iron a few centi-
metres away from the fabric.
5. Press the steam burst button (12), move the bottom of the iron (7) a little in front of or
on the fabric and then release the steam burst button (12) again.
6. Wait a few seconds before the steam burst button (12) is pressed again. NOTE: The
lower the ironing temperature, the weaker the production of steam and the longer it
takes for more steam to be produced.

Cleaning and Storage

CAUTION!
■ Remove the mains plug from the plug socket before cleaning the device.
■ Allow the device to cool completely after use!
■ Never immerse the device, the mains cable or the mains plug in water or other liquids!
■ Do not use any corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents or cleaning pads to clean the
device. These can damage the surface.
Emptying the Water Reservoir
1. After ironing, move the continuous steam switch (3) to position
the temperature control (9) to the Off position.
2. Place the device upright on its base (6).
3. Remove the mains plug from the plug socket.
4. Allow the bottom of the iron (7) to cool down completely.
5. Empty the water reservoir (2). Open the water reservoir cover (1), hold the iron over
a sink or similar outlet and turn it upside down. Allow all of the water to run out of the
water reservoir (2).
6. Connect the iron to the mains power again and move the continuous steam switch (3)
to position
one to two minutes so that the rest of the water evaporates.
7. Repeat steps 1 to 4.

Cleaning the Housing

If necessary, wipe down the outside of the device with a soft, slightly damp cloth and then
dry it with a soft cloth.
Descaling
Keep the device ready to operate. You should regularly remove water limescale deposits
with a descaling agent in accordance with the water quality in your area and how often
