Use

CAUTION!
Remove the mains plug from the plug socket after ironing or during lengthy breaks to
prevent personal injury or damage to property. Never leave the iron unattended while
it is connected to the mains power and keep children away from it.
Never attempt to iron clothes while somebody is wearing them.
You should only hold the device by the handle when you are operating it.
Always test the device fi rst on a small, inconspicuous spot on the clothing.
Beware of damage caused by fi re! Never iron on one spot for too long. Never leave
the hot bottom of the iron standing on the fabric or another heat-sensitive surface!
Do not iron over zips, studs, clips etc. to prevent any scratching of the coating on the
bottom of the iron.
Open the water reservoir cover only to fi ll the water reservoir. Otherwise keep the
water reservoir cover closed while operating the iron.
During and shortly after use, place the device on the base and on a fl at, stable and
heat-resistant and moisture-resistant surface.
NOTE: You might notice a slight odour the fi rst time you use the device. This is harmless
and will cease as you use the device.
1. Unwind the mains cable.
2. Press the button for adjusting the handle and bottom of the iron (7) and pull the han-
dle (11) up. The bottom of the iron (7) is automatically lifted out of the housing.
Filling the Water Reservoir
CAUTION!
Always remove the mains plug before you top up / empty the water reservoir. Never
pull the mains cable, but always pull the mains plug.
Never pour any additives into the water reservoir. This may destroy the device and
safe working is no longer guaranteed.
Never exceed the maximum fi ll level (note the max marking on the water reservoir!).
We recommend the use of distilled water to prevent possible limescale deposits.
The water reservoir (2) needs to be fi lled for steam-ironing. This is not necessary for
dry-ironing.
1. Make sure that the device is not connected to the mains power. Move the continuous
steam switch (3) to position
position (turn Off towards the marking (10)).
2. Pull up the water reservoir cover (1). Please note that it cannot be completely de-
tached from the device.
3. Fill the water reservoir (2) with the aid of the measuring cup supplied up to the max
marking with tap water or distilled water. It holds approx. 40 ml.
4. Press the water reservoir cover (1) fi rmly back into the opening. Make sure that the
water reservoir (2) is fully closed.
