Ironing
CAUTION!
Please make sure that synthetic fi bres, nylon and silk are not ironed with steam. The
textiles may be damaged!
Never press the steam burst button for longer than 5 seconds without stopping to
prevent water from running out of the bottom of the iron.
There must be a suffi cient amount of water in the water reservoir for the steam burst
button to be used.
Never aim the steam directly at people, animals or plants. This can cause severe
scalding.
1. For steam-ironing,
– fi ll the water reservoir (2) with water (see the "Filling the Water Reservoir" section).
– move the temperature control (9) to the high (•••) to maximum temperature. (Note
the care label for the garment which is to be ironed!)
– Move the continuous steam switch (3) to position
2. For dry-ironing, leave the steam switch (3) in position
3. Once the device has reached the set temperature, the control lamp (8) goes out. The
iron is ready for use.
4. When the water reservoir (2) is empty, steam will no longer be produced. Follow the
instructions in the "Filling the Water Reservoir" section to top it up again.
Steam Blast / Vertical Steam-Ironing
CAUTION!
Make sure when doing vertical ironing that there is plenty of space around the item
of clothing which is to be ironed. You may only perform vertical ironing if the item of
clothing is hanging on a hanger and cannot come into contact with other garments,
objects, people or animals.
Iron the laundry only in places where heat and moisture cannot do any damage, e.g.
NOT in front of wallpaper, windows or mirrors.
