Eine Veränderung des Adressschalters S1
(S. 6) am Empfänger ist in der Praxis
praktisch nie notwendig. Selbst beim Ein-
satz mehrerer Portalkräne nebeneinander
muss nur das jeweilige Bedienpult mit dem
zugehörigen Empfänger synchronisiert
werden. Die genauen Details zum Ändern
der Adresse finden Sie auf Seite 28.
Der Adressschalter S1 muss immer wie
folgt eingestellt sein:

Der Anschluss A2 (S. 6) wird beim Portal-
kran nicht genutzt. Der Umschalter S3
(S. 6) muss immer in der rechten Stellung
sein.

Kranbrücke, Kranhaus und Zugseil sind
an den Endpositionen gegen Überlastung
durch unterschiedliche Techniken gesichert.
Trotzdem sollte ein dauerndes Fahren
bzw. Betätigen über die Endposition
hinaus vermieden werden.

Der Kran ist zum Anheben von Gegen-
ständen selbst mit einem Gewicht von
bis zu 100g geeignet. Der Elektromagnet
ist prinzipbedingt nur zum Anheben von
leichten Körpern geeignet, die zumindest
zum Teil aus magnetisierbarem Metall
(Eisenblech) bestehen müssen. Eine kleine
Schraube in einer kleinen Kiste oder eine
verdeckt in das Ladegut eingeklebte Unter-
legscheibe ermöglichen das Anheben
auch von nichtmagnetischen Materialien.
Ein empfehlenswertes Ladegut für den
Elektromagneten sind kleine Eisenkugeln
oder „Schrottteile" aus Büroklammern,
kleinen Blechstreifen etc.

Achtung! Achten Sie darauf, dass die
verwendeten Ladegüter keine Gefahr
für Kinder darstellen (Verschluckungs-
oder Verletzungsgefahr)!

Der Elektromagnet ist nicht für den
Dauerbetrieb geeignet. Spätestens nach
4 Minuten muss der Magnet abgeschaltet
werden. Dies übernimmt im Notfall auch
die Elektronik. Nach 4 Minuten Dauer-
betrieb wird der Magnet abgeschaltet.
Erst nach einer Abkühlphase kann der

Magnet wieder eingeschaltet werden.
Auch bei demontiertem Magnet reagiert
diese Schutzschaltung auf die Arbeits-
und Kabinenbeleuchtung.
Vorsicht: Das angehobene Ladegut am
Magneten fällt natürlich ab, wenn die
Elektronik den Dauerbetrieb des Magne-
ten unterbricht. Daher immer früh genug
den Magneten abschalten.

Achten Sie beim Schwenken des Kran-
aufbaus darauf, dass die Anschlusskabel
des Elektromagneten nicht an der Kran-
bühne hängenbleiben.

Der Elektromagnet sollte nicht im knappen
Abstand über die Kranbrücke geführt
werden. Dies gilt vor allem für die Enden
der Kranbrücken, in denen zum Anzeigen
der Endposition für das Kranhaus Magnete
eingebaut sind. Selbst der ausgeschaltete
Elektromagnet wird von diesem Magneten
angezogen.

In practice it is virtually never necessary
to make changes to the address switch
S1 (p. 6) at the receiver. Even when using
several gantry cranes in parallel, only the
respective control panel needs to be syn-
chronised with its corresponding receiver.
The precise details for changing the
address can be found on page 28.
The address switch S1 must always be
set as follows:

Connection A2 (p. 6) is not used for the
gantry crane. Switch S3 (p. 6) must
always be in the right-hand position.

The crane bridge, crane house and cable
must be guarded at the end positions
against overloading, by means of various
techniques. Nonetheless, continuous
travel/operation beyond the end position
should be avoided.

The crane is suitable for lifting objects
with a mass of up to as much as 100 g.
Owing to its functional principle, the elec-
tromagnet is only suitable for lifting light
objects, which must consist at least
partly of a magnetisable metal (iron plate).
A small screw in a small box or a washer
bonded into the cargo in such a way that
it is hidden makes it possible to lift non-
metallic materials also. Recommended
cargoes for the electromagnet might be
small iron balls or "scrap" made from
paperclips, small strips of sheet metal, etc.
Attention! Ensure that the cargoes
used present no danger to children
(risk of swallowing or injury)!

The electromagnet is not suitable for
continuous use. The magnet must be
switched off after 4 minutes at the most.
In case of emergency, the electronic
system adopts this task. After 4 minutes
of continuous operation, the magnet is
switched off. Only after a cooling-down
period can the magnet be switched on

again. Even when the magnet is not fitted,
this guard circuit reacts to the flood lamps
and the cab lights.
Caution: the cargo being lifted by the
magnet naturally falls down if the elec-
tronic system interrupts the continuous
operation of the magnet. Therefore, always
switch off the magnet in good time.

When swivelling the crane body, make
sure that the connecting cables of the
electromagnet are not left hanging from
the crane platform.

The electromagnet should not be carried
in close proximity over the crane bridge.
This is particularly important for the ends
of the crane bridges, in which magnets
are fitted for displaying the end position of
the crane cab. Even when switched off,
the electromagnet will be attracted by this
magnet.
