FRONTAL CUTTER BAR APPLICATION
Connection to motor cultivator
Couple the cutter bar by using the Quickfit.
Clearance adjustment
between the central pin and pads
For better operation, the clearance between the
central pin and the pads should be of 1+3 tenths.
To obtain such a clearance, proceed as follows:
A) Loosen screw (9)
B) Tighten grub screw (10) until reaching a mode-
rate tightening of the pads against the central pin
by using the supplied Allen wrench
C) From the position reached, turn the Allen wrench
in the opposite sense (unscrew the grub screw) for
about 1/8 of a turn (45°)
D) To lock the grub screw (10), tighten screw (9)
N.B.: Repeat operations of points A-B-C-D each
time a clearance reset is wanted for better functio-
ning. It is recommended to carry out such opera-
tions every 20-30 hours operation.
ATTENTION - To avoid harmful strain,
never lock the central pin with the
adjustment pads; always leave a clea-
rance of at least 0,1 mm.
Cutter bar height adjustment
When working on bad terrain, it is necessary to
adjust the cutter bar's cut height in the following
way:
- Loosen nut 1.
- Bring skid pad 2 back to wanted position.
- Re-lock the nut.
- Carry out adjustment on both skid pads.
Adjustment of blade holder
with Mulching teeth
To increase or decrease the load on the blade, use
adjustment screw 3.

N.B.: Excessive friction between the blade presser
and the blade must be avoided in order to ensure
efficiency.
Cutter bar blade replacement
1) Special cutter bar blade
- Loosen screws 5.
- Remove blade catch 6
- Slip off the blade
To reassemble the blade carry out the same ope-
rations but in the opposite way.
2) Normal cutter bar blade
- Loosen screws 5
- Remove blade catch 6
- Turn the blade through 90°
- Slip off the blade
To reassemble the blade carry out the same ope-
rations but in the opposite way.
3) 140 L - FC 20L cutter bar blade (Fig. 18/A)
- Unscrew the drag pin (9) and remove the blade.
Cutter bar front protection
Each time the bar is transferred or exposed to public
or leff in a deposit, it is compulsory to apply front
protection 11 (Fig. 18).
CUTTER BAR MAINTENANCE
MECHANIC MOVEMENT
Each time you use the cutter bar
Grease point 7 and 8 (Fig. 18).
OIL BATH MOVEMENT
Each time you use the cutter bar
Check oil level by unscrewing the breather plug.
Top up if necessary.
Replace oil every 500 hours (quantity 1 Kg.).
