3. Preparations for use

3.1 Main components of your
Royal bed
- Royal Mesh Base
- Electric motor(s*) with remote
control, emergency power supply
(battery operated, batteries not
suppled by Auping) and power off
switch
- Royal or Maestro Royal mattress
Your dealer has installed your Royal
mesh base for you. The numbers on
the connectors correspond with the
numbers on the connection ports.
Should you, for any reason, wish to
re-connect or check the plugs, the
connection diagram is shown on the
base of the control box (see page 5
of this manual).
For other parts and detailed
installation instructions, we refer you
to the installation cards included with
the various parts.
3.2 Attachment of the remote
control*
If your Royal mesh base is mounted
on a Royal Support bed base, you
can click the remote control onto the
frame of the mesh base using the
magnetic strip. Or use the Royal
remote control clamp**. This
ensures that the remote control is
always close at hand.

3.3 Position of the Royal legs

If you are using Royal supporting feet
instead of the standard Royal support,
the correct positioning of this leg set
is essential for a correct weight
distribution. This means that the legs
must be placed as indicated below.
