Safety Instructions

1.) Install in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications and the applicable standards and regulations.
2.) The Commubox FXA 195 is associated electrical apparatus and thus may be installed outside of the explosion-hazardous
area only.
3.) The intrinsically safe output circuits of the Commubox FXA 195 may be routed into Zone 0 and Zone 20.
4.) The Commubox FXA 195 must be installed such that the terminals of the external intrinsically safe circuits are at
least 50 mm away from the terminals or bare wires of the non-intrinsically safe circuits.
5.) The Commubox FXA 195 must be installed such that the bare components of the intrinsically safe circuit are separated
from metallic housing components by an air gap of at least 3 mm, and from bare components of non-intrinsically safe
circuits by an air gap of 6 mm.
6.) The intrinsically safe circuit is safely, galvanically separated from all other circuits of the FXA 195 up to a peak voltage
of 375 V.
7.) If the intrinsically safe circuit that can be connected to the Commubox FXA 195 is routed into explosion-hazardous areas Zone
20 or 21, then it must be ensured that all devices connected to it fulfil the requirements of Category 1D or 2D, and are corre-
spondingly certified.
