linoleum, petrol etc.). Never deposit flammable materials near the Product.
During combustion, thermal energy is released which leads to considerable heating of the surfaces, doors, handles, controls, glass parts,
the flue gas pipe and possibly the front part of the appliance. Avoid contact with these elements unless using suitable protective
clothing or accessories (heat resistant gloves, control devices).
Ensure children are aware of these dangers and keep them away from the furnace when it is on.
When using the wrong fuel or one which is too damp, due to deposits present in the flue, a flue fire is possible.

4.1. IN A EMERGENCY

If there is a fire in the flue connection :
a)
Close the loading door and the ash drawer door
b)
Close the comburent air registers
c)
Use carbon dioxide ( CO
d)
Request the immediate intervention of the Fire Brigade
DO NOT PUT OUT THE FIRE WITH WATER.
When the flue stops burning, have it checked by a specialist to identify any cracks or permeable points.

5. TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION

Definition: product according to EN 13240.
The chimney stoves of La Nordica are suitable to heat living spaces for some periods. As fuel, wood logs are used.
The appliance is made up of a series of cast-iron elements joined to one another by a fixed joint, while the seal is assured by refractory
putty. The assembly is supported by tie rods and nuts located outside the heating body.
The devices are equipped with an integrated air circuit for the recovery of the heat made up of deflectors (radiant fins) on all external
surfaces of the heating body.
The devices are equipped with a hearth with double thickness rear part made up of a drilled extractible plate.
Through these holes, pre-heated air gets into the hearth; in this way, it is possible to achieve a post-combustion with an increase of the
yield and a reduction of emissions of unburnt gases.
The fireplace is equipped with a sight door with ceramic glass (resistant up to 700°C). This allows a charming sight on burning flames.
Moreover, in this way, any possible leak of sparks and smoke is avoided.
Room heating takes place:
a)
By irradiation: through the panoramic glass and the external hot surfaces of the stove, the heat is radiated into the environment;
b)
By natural convection: the passage of air through the coating and the covering hood releases heat in the
c)
By forced convection: a ventilation kit suitable to improve the distribution of heat by ventilation only either of the installation room
or of the adjacent local.
The device is equipped with registers of primary and secondary air.
A- PRIMARY air register
With the primary air control
direction. The primary air is necessary for the combustion process. The ash drawer must be regularly emptied, so that the ash does not
obstruct the primary air entry. Through the primary air the fire is also kept alive.
During wood combustion, the register of primary air must be opened only for a while, because otherwise the wood burns fast and the stove
may overheat. For the correct arrangement (see chapter Normal operation).
B - SECONDARY air register
Over the door of the hearth there is the secondary air control
moved to the right), especially for wood combustion, so that un-burnt carbon does not undergo a post-combustion. See chapter Normal
operation. Through this register it is possible to adjust the power of the stove.
Leaving it slightly open, according to the flue of the chimney, it is possible to keep the glass clean.
C - Air register for the heating of the environment
This register, through a fan controlled by a regulator, adjusts the output of warm air in the environment
In the configuration A (see paragraph CANALIZATION) this register adjusts the warm air flow coming out from the front side of the stove;
in the configuration B it adjusts the warm air flow coming out from the front and rear side of the stove, without closing the warm air coming
out from the back of the appliance.
The adjustment of the registers necessary to reach the rated calorific yield with a depression at the stack of 14 Pa (1,4 mm of column of
water) is the following one:
