Die Bügeleisensohle kann durch Waschmittelrückstände, durch die Appretur der
Stoffe und Fasern verunreinigt werden und gleitet dann nicht mehr leicht über den
Stoff. Deshalb Bügeleisen nach dem Bügeln mit einem nichtflusenden Lappen
abreiben. Schwer zu entfernende Flecken und Ablagerungen sollten mit einem
Bügeleisen-Reinigerstift behandelt werden.
Auf keinen Fall alkalihaltige Produkte (z.B. Backofenreiniger), scharfe
Reinigungsmittel, Scheuermittel oder Stahlwolle verwenden.
Das Bügeleisen gleitet nur dann leicht über den Stoff, wenn die Sohle
nicht verschmutzt ist.
