Power Supply using PoE (Power over Ethernet)
The camera features PoE (Power over Ethernet). If your router or hub
supports PoE, you do not need to connect the camera to a power socket.
You can then connect the camera as shown in illustration [X]:
1.
Use a network cable [17] to connect your camera to a PoE port of your
router/hub [15].
2.
Make sure your router/hub is connected to a power socket [18].
If your router/hub does not support PoE, you can use a PoE injector (not
included) to use the PoE feature. You can then connect the camera as
shown in illustration [Y].
For connecting to a network video recorder (NVR), refer to illustration [Z].
9.
Configuration with PC
1.
For advanced camera configuration, make sure that your camera is
connected to a PC via the network. Refer to illustrations [X] and [Y].
2.
Download and install the "IPscan.exe" program. You can download the
program from:
http://www.surveillance-download.com/user/IPscan.zip
3.
Run the program to scan for available devices.
4.
Set your PC in the same network segment as the camera that you want
to configure. Example: 192.168.2.xxx (where xxx = 0-255).
5.
Note down the IP address and port number of the camera. In this
example, the IP address is 192.168.2.1 and the port number is 88.
