Before Putting into Operation
Charging Batteries
Do not recharge the batteries after every usage. When not using the bat-
teries for a longer period, do not recharge them before they are being
used.
A significantly reduced working period after charging indicates that the
batteries are used and must be replaced.
PSR 2,4 V (see figure
Insert the charger plug 12 into the socket 11 at the bottom side of the
machine. Connect the charger to the mains supply. Charging an empty
battery takes approx. 5 hours.
The charging process is not ended automatically. After charging has
taken place, disconnect the charger from the mains supply.
To achieve the maximum battery capacity, the batteries should be run
down completely from time to time.
When the batteries are empty, the unit can also be operated with the
charger if a mains supply is available. For this, switch the unit off at first
and charge the batteries for approx. 5 minutes.
Never connect the charger to a power outlet without the machine con-
nected!
Protect the charger from moisture!
PSR 3,6 V (see figure
A battery that is new or has not been used for a longer period does not
develop its full capacity until after approximately 5 charging/discharging
cycles.
To remove the battery 5, press the unlocking buttons 6 and pull out the
battery downwards. Do not exert any force.
Insert the battery into the charger cradle 13. Insert the charger plug 12
of the charger into the socket of the charger cradle 13.
Observe the notes on environmental protection.
