Avoiding damage to materials, property and the device
Always place the device on a dry, level, fi rm and heat resistant surface.
Always place the device on a dry, level, fi rm and heat-resistant surface.
Lay the cable so that it does not pose a tripping hazard. Do not allow the cable to
hang over the edge of a table or kitchen worktop. Someone could catch him/herself
and pull down the device.
Only use the device with the crumb tray inserted and empty the tray regularly.
Make sure that the toaster can switch off after the toasting process. Problems may
occur by objects that block the lowering lever, or by baked items which are too large
in the toasting slots.
Remove the mains plug from the socket and allow the device to cool down if prob-
lems occur during toasting. Remove anything that may be stuck in the toasting slot
by moving the lowering lever up and down a few times.
Do not allow the device to fall and do not subject it to strong percussions.
Do not pull or carry the device by the cable.
Do not subject the device to extreme temperatures, severe changes in temperature,
moisture, wetness or direct sunlight.
Do not use any corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents to clean the device. They
could damage the surface.
Hygienic notes
The device may have production residue stuck to it. To avoid health risks, clean the
device before fi rst use (see chapter "Cleaning and care").
Keep the device clean.
