Before Initial Use

PLEASE NOTE!
■ WARNING – Danger of Suffocation! Keep children and animals away from the
packaging material.
■ Never remove the rating plate and any possible warnings!
1. Unpack all parts and check the items supplied for completeness and any transport
damage. If you fi nd any damage to the components, do not (!) use the device, but
contact our customer service department.
2. Remove any fi lms, stickers or transport protection that may be present from the de-
vice.
3. Unwind the cable from the cable winder to the length you require.
4. Place the toaster on a dry, heat-resistant, fl at surface a suffi cient distance away from
fl ammable objects.
5. The mains plug should be connected to a socket that has been properly installed.
6. Use the rotary knob (3) to set the highest level.
7. Press the lowering lever (2) down until it engages. PLEASE NOTE: The lowering
lever only clicks into place if the device is connected to a power socket.
8. Perform 3 toasting operations without bread in order to remove any production res-
idues. Ensure that there is an interval of a few minutes between the toasting opera-
tions.
