3.2 Removing the rechargeable
batteries
WARNING:
Risk of injuries if rechargeable batteries are
replaced improperly! It it is necessary to
replace the rechargeable batteries, contact
a specialist dealer or the Dirt Devil cus-
tomer service department. Never replace
the rechargeable batteries yourself. Do not
under any circumstances replace the
rechargeable batteries with other recharge-
able batteries or single-use batteries.
ATTENTION:
Risk of environmental damage! The appli-
ance contains rechargeable batteries that
must not end up in domestic waste. Dis-
pose of the appliance and the removed
rechargeable batteries separately by hand-
ing them over at the appropriate collection
points.
1. Operate the appliance until the recharge-
able batteries have been run completely
flat and the appliance motor stops.
2. Unfasten the screws on the side of the
motor unit with a cross-head screwdriver.
3. Remove the cover.
4. Remove the installed rechargeable batter-
ies.
5. Replace the cover and tighten the screws
again.
