CAUTION
Drilling quality and speed depend mainly on the type
of material being used.
In ascending order, the degree of drilling difficulty can
be summarised as follows.
• A Majolica tiles.
• B Klinker, marble and granite.
• C Single-fired tiles.
• D Porcelain stoneware.
POSITION THE TILE TO BE DRILLED ALWAYS WITH
THE ENAMEL SURFACE UPWARDS.
8 Start the machine and pull the handle towards
the operator until the cutter moves down near
the materia.
CAUTION
BEFORE STARTING DRILLING, WAIT UNTIL WATER
COMES OUT.
During drilling (e.g. type A/B material), exert slight
pressure with the cutter on the tile enamel surface
until the hole is completely made, alternating between
drilling periods and periods in which the cutter is
lifted from the cutting groove, in order to facilitate, by
means of the cooling water, tool washing.
In any case, the operator shall pay maximum
attention, during drilling, to the diamond cutter noise.
If it emits a very acute hiss (irritating), it means that
the tool is not cutting:
this happens every 8-10 holes in category C and D
materials; in these cases, never force the machine,
interrupt the operation so as not to damage the
cutter and sharpen the tool.
On the other hand, if the sound is hoarse, the cutter
is working well.
ONCE THE HOLE IS FINISHED, TAKE OUT THE
CUTTER KEEPING IT ROTATING UNTIL IT IS
COMPLETELY REMOVED FROM THE HOLE THAT
HAS JUST BEEN MADE.
CAUTION
• The release of water inside the cutter is essential
to prevent the diamond from blending.
• After each hole, remove the internal part (core)
remaining in the centre of the rings.
• Should part of material remain inside the cutter,
remove the cutter without forcing so as not to
break the tool.
CONTROL DEVICES
CAUTION
The FORAGRES machine is equipped

with the following controls:
1) SELECTOR O - I (Power supplier)
It powers the entire machine.
2) OVERCURRENT CIRCUIT BREAKER:
It intervenes when
interrupting the machine supply.
Its intervention is indicated by the expulsion of
the manual reset. In case of intervention of the
circuit breaker, wait a few minutes and reset it by
pressing its central pin.
3) DEVICE FOR DISCONNECTION FROM THE
MAINS (Plug):
Machine power supply point.
During the maintenance phases, take out the
plug from the device in order to disconnect the
machine from the mains.
4) SPEED SELECTOR:
It is used to adjust the tool speed.
According to the tool diameter, the most suitable
speed is set.

5) DEVICE FOR DISCONNECTING THE MACHINE
FROM THE POWER SUPPLIER:
Machine power supply point to its power supplier.
6) START BUTTON:
Press the lever to activate the tool and the water
recovery pump.
Lower the lever to bring the tool into contact with
the material.
