Troubleshooting
The following tips should help you resolve any problems you encounter with your appliance. If not,
please contact our central customer service department. Please also note the warranty information.
Problem
The on/off button flashes red
and the device does not switch
on
Milk escapes from the lid
Chocolate doesn't dissolve
Milk doesn't foam

Potential cause
Device is not plugged in.
Overheating mechanism trigge-
red because device is too hot.
Overheating mechanism trigge-
red due to too little milk.
Maximum fill level exceeded.
Lid is not positioned correctly.
Sealing ring is missing or soiled.
The chocolate chunks are too
large or the type of chocolate
used does not melt easily.
The WMF Choc System was not
assembled or inserted properly.
The milk DISC has not been
inserted properly.
The WMF Milk System has
not been inserted into the jug
properly.
The milk is too warm or has
already been foamed once.
Solution
Plug the device in.
Allow the device to cool down.
Allow the device to cool down.
Fill milk up to the MIN line.
Press the lid on using slight
pressure.
Clean and re-insert the sealing
ring (the smooth side must be
against the lid).
Restart the chocolate pro-
gramme. It may be interrupted
manually at any time by
pressing the on/off button.
The milk DISC must be centred
on the bracket with the groove
facing
The milk DISC must be centred
on the bracket with the groove
facing upwards.
The WMF Milk System must be
flat and completely horizontal
on the floor of the jug.
We recommend using fresh,
cold milk.
