- Pin down the tailplane centre section L 1 over the plan,
and glue the leading edge strips L , the tips L 3 and the
trailing edge L 4 to it.

- Trim the cross-pieces L 5 - L 10 to fit neatly, and glue
them between the leading and trailing edges as shown.
- Remove the structure from the building board when the
glue has set hard.
- Round off the leading edges and tips to a symmetrical
profile, as shown in the detail photo.

- Pin down the elevator panel L 11 over the plan.
- Glue the elevator leading edge strip L 16 in place, flush
with the leading edge of the elevator sheet.

- Glue the cross-pieces L 1 - L 15 to the elevator.
- Allow the glue to set hard, then remove the elevator from
the building board, sand it to the profile shown in the
cross-section on the plan, and bevel the front face of part
L 16.

- Sand the completed fin S 1 / S  and the rudder S 3
smooth. Bevel the leading edge of the rudder S 3 as
shown on the plan - see the arrow in the photo.
- The control surfaces and the horns L 17 and S 4 should
not be attached to the tail surfaces until the model has
been covered.
