Operating safety
To guarantee safe operation for many years of service, please observe the
following notes:
• Have the trailer checked by a cycle specialist at regular intervals, and
at least every three years.
• Aluminium components are susceptible to deformation and cracking.
Immediately replace any bent aluminium parts.
Risk of breakage: never attempt to bend deformed or bent aluminium
parts back into shape.
• Plastic parts can become brittle by exposure to changing weather con-
ditions. Cracked or damaged parts must be immediately replaced.
• Immediately replace any badly rusted steel parts.
Road handling
Cycles with trailers handle differently from an ordinary cycle when bra-
king and cornering. Before using in road traffic, familiarise yourself with
this different road handling on a suitable practice area.
Caution: Please note that the braking distance is longer when a trai-
ler is coupled up.
To avoid the trailer swinging out or even turning over, you must practice
a restrained riding style. Particularly when riding downhill, it is essenti-
al to adjust your speed to the terrain.
