Safety instructions for hedge
trimmers
a) Keep all body parts away from
the blade. Do not attempt to re-
move clippings or to hold onto
material to be cut when the
blades are running. The blades con-
tinue to move after turning off the switch.
A moment of inattention when using the
trimmer can result in serious injuries.
b) Hold the hedge trimmer by the
handgrip when the blade is at
a standstill and make sure you
do not press the switch. Carrying
the hedge trimmer correctly reduces the
riskofinadvertentoperationandbeing
injured by the blade as a result.
c) Always place the protective cov-
er onto the blades while trans-
porting or storing the hedge
trimmer.Careful handling of the
hedge trimmer reduces the risk of injury
from the blade.
d) Ensure that all switches are
turned off and the battery is
removed or switched off before
removing jammed clippings or
maintaining the machine. Unex-
pectedoperationofthehedgetrimmer
when removing jammed material can
lead to serious injuries.
