Teach-In Function

The "teach-in function" can be used to adjust the measurement setup
consisting of transmitter and strain gauge.
The currently measured value is saved as start value or as full scale
value (end value). For unidirectional signals (DIP S1-1=0), the start
value corresponds to the zero point and the full scale value corre-
sponds to the sensitivity. To activate the teach-in function, press
the button on the device front. To do so, you can use a screwdriver
(blade width max. 2.5 mm). The front cover provides a corresponding
opening.
NOTICE!
Only use a screwdriver that is safely isolated from the voltage applied
to the input.
Step 1: (initial confi guration)
Use DIP1 to DIP3 to set the number to the left of the decimal point for
the input sensitivity (mV/V).
Use the "Sensitivity" rotary switches (S) to set the numbers to the right
of the decimal point (x.00 ... x.99), see page 38.
Use DIP4, DIP5, and DIP6 to set the number to the left of the decimal
point for the zero point.
Use the "Zero" rotary switches (Z) to set the numbers to the right of the
decimal point (x.00 ... x.99).
Adjust the corresponding output signal using the switches DIP7 and
DIP8.
Now you can use the teach-in function as follows:
