Teach-In Function

The "teach-in function" can be used to adjust the measurement setup
consisting of transmitter and potentiometer or resistor.
The currently measured value is saved as start value or as full scale
value (end value). To activate the teach-in function, press the button
on the device front. To do so, you can use a screwdriver (blade width
max. 2.5 mm). The front cover provides a corresponding opening.
NOTICE!
Only use a screwdriver that is safely isolated from the voltage applied
to the input.
Step 1: (initial confi guration)
Set the connected sensor type using the switches DIP1 to DIP3.
Adjust the corresponding output signal using the switches DIP7 and
DIP8.
Then use the rotary switches to adjust a suitable measuring range, eg:
Start: 00
End: 10
and DIP switch 4 "On" corresponding to 0 ... 1 kΩ
Now you can use the teach-in function as follows:
Step 2: adjusting the start value:
Your action
Hit the front button once.
Now press the front button within
30 sec and hold it until the LED
lights up and then goes out
(approx. 3 sec).
