Pull the mains adapter out of the plug
socket if an error occurs during charg-
ing or before a thunderstorm.
■
Switch off the device before it is con-
nected to or disconnected from the
mains power.
■
When you pull the mains adapter out
of the plug socket, always pull on the
mains adapter and never the mains
cable!
■
Never pull or carry the device by the
connecting cable.
■
The device should only be used if
it has been fully and correctly assem-
bled! The fi lter plug and the water
tank must be inserted and must not
be damaged! If dirt were to get inside
the device, this could damage the
motor.
■
In the event of damage / faults, switch
the device off immediately.
■
Protect the device from heat, naked
fl ames, sub-zero temperatures and
impacts. Also protect the main unit
from persistent moisture and wet
conditions.
■
Use only original accessories from the
manufacturer in order to guarantee
that there is no interference that may
prevent the device from working and
to avoid possible damage.
■
Do not lay or place any heavy objects
on the connecting cable.

BEFORE INITIAL USE

1. Attach the cleaning attachment (4) to
the motor unit (8) (see "Attaching /
Detaching the Cleaning Attachment").
2. Charge up the battery (see the
"Charging Up the Battery" chapter).

ATTACHMENT
• Attaching: Insert the cleaning attach-
ment (4) into the front of the motor
unit (8) and press both parts together.
When you do this, make sure that the
locking lugs of the cleaning attach-
ment sit in the corresponding recesses
of the motor unit.
• Detaching: Place down the device
with the cleaning attachment on
a stable surface and fi x it with one
hand. Lever the motor unit out of the
cleaning attachment (Picture B).
CHARGING UP THE
BATTERY
Please Note!

The motor unit must be switched
off when the mains adapter is being
connected or removed.
■
It is essential that you charge up
the battery fully before you fi rst use
the device in order to achieve the
maximum charging capacity.
■
Pull the mains adapter out of the plug
socket if it is not used for a lengthy
period of time.
1. Plug the barrel connector of the mains
adapter into the connecting socket (1)
on the motor unit (8).
2. Connect the mains adapter to an eas-
ily accessible plug socket. The control
lamp (9) starts to fl ash red.
Allow the battery to charge for
approx. 3 hours. When the battery is
fully charged, the control lamp is lit
constantly green.
3. First disconnect the mains adapter from
the mains power and then from the
motor unit. The control lamp goes out.
