13.4 Cleaning the working electrode

Warning!
The electrolyte solution irritates the skin and eyes. For this reason:
• Always wear suitable protective gloves and goggles/face mask.
• Wash skin which has come into contact with the electrolyte solution thoroughly with plenty
of water and change wetted clothes immediately.
• If electrolyte gets into your eye, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water and consult a doctor.
• Observe the instructions on the safety data sheet.

Note!
The working electrode only has to be cleaned in the event of underslopes or overslopes (= sensor
cannot be calibrated) which cannot be rectified by replacing the electrolyte or the membrane
cap.
Unscrew the basket protector and
membrane cap.

Caution!
To protect the working electrode against damage:
Do not use conventional abrasive paper or a fiberglass brush.
Then fit a new membrane cap with a fresh filling of electrolyte (--> "Replacing the electrolyte
and membrane cap").

water.

wet abrasive foil, working with gentle
circular movements.
