Check damaged parts before further use of the hedge trimmer. Any part that
is damaged should be carefully checked to determine that it will operate
properly and perform its intended function. Check for alignment of moving
parts, binding of moving parts, breakage of parts, mounting, and any other
condition that may affect its operation. Any part that is damaged should
be properly repaired or replaced by an authorized service center unless
indicated elsewhere in this manual.
Check the blade and motor mounting bolts at frequent intervals for proper
tightness. Also, visually inspect blade for damage (e.g., bent, cracked, and
worn). Replace the blade only with a blade from EGO
Replace the blade if it is bent or cracked. An unbalanced blade causes
vibration that could damage the motor drive unit or cause personal injury.
If the equipment should start to vibrate abnormally, switch off the tool and
check immediately for the cause. Vibration is generally a warning of trouble.
Never allow children to operate the hedge trimmer.
The trimmer shall be used to cut stems less than 1" (26mm) thick.
Trim only in daylight or in good artificial light.
Follow instructions for lubricating and sharpening.
Keep handles dry, clean and free from oil and grease.
NOTE: SEE YOUR TELESCOPIC POWER POLE OPERATOR'S MANUAL
FOR ADDITIONAL SPECIFIC SAFETY RULES.
