Purpose/operation of the heating pad
Besides the useful replacement- and removal option regarding finished batteries we have an absolute
scoop here: the possibility of operating the heating pad.
Together with the Power Station Premium a heating pad of the youngest generation is supplied. This one
is developed as a defroster and can, for example, during the winter be placed on the windscreen of the
vehicle by means of the also supplied suction cups and clamp straps.
Furthermore, the coating of the heating pad is protected against slight humidity. Nevertheless do not dip
into liquids or pour liquids over it.
you can have your windows, within the reach of the heating pad, defrosted while you are
preparing to go to work. without claiming energy from your vehicle battery. your vehicle
remains ready to start.
Assembly of the fixture
Take two suction cups and two clamp straps and join these together, like shown in the figure below.
Repeat this action with the two other suction cups.
Positioning the heating pad
Place a suction cup from INSIDE on approximately ¼ of the utmost reach of, for example, the windscreen.
Press suction cup against the window, push clamp backwards, in the direction of the window. Now push
the heating pad, black side towards the window, red side towards the inside of the vehicle, underneath the
clamp strap and further underneath the plate of the suction cup until the heating pad attaches.
With one hand, keep pressing the heating pad against the windscreen. Now take the second suction cup
with assembled clamp strap and slide it from underneath under the heating pad in such a way it attaches
underneath the attaching plate. Push the clamp of the suction cup backwords in the direction of the
windscreen. Both metal clamp straps are parallel facing each other. Make sure the heating pad is as flat as
possible positioned against the windscreen to utilize it most optimal.
Operating the heating pad
Once attached to the windscreen, connect the heating pad to the Power Station Premium. Plug the 12 V-
plug in one of the two 12 V-output contacts on the front side of the Power Station Premium.
You may now activate the 12 V-socket of the Power Station Premium, the heating pad will be provided with
power by the Power Station. This will warm up in several minutes and reaches a maximal temperature of
ca. 40 °C (+/- 5 °C).
In proportion, by doing so, the power consumption is insignificant. The heating pad has a power of 47 W.
With a completely charged battery the Power Station is able to keep the heating pad in operation for over
2 hours.
An extremely appropriate application of the heating pad in combination with the time switch function
takes place during the winter, when the unpleasant ice scraping of your, for example, windscreen
can be forgotten or at least can be reduced to an absolute minimum (see 6.3 Time switch function).
Within the reach of the heating pad defrosting is being accomplished accurately in a very efficient way.
Two heating pads scan be connected to the Power Station at the same time. You have to consider this will
proportional shorten the operational life of the battery capacity.

example 2:
You want to drive to your work at 7:00 o'clock. Set, when operating for example 2 heating pads, the time
switch function at 5:50 h. When you get to your vehicle at 7:00 h, the heating pads have already defrosted
the windows in an excellent way.
After this, the Power Station needs to be charged. You might have the possibility, in consultation with your
employer, to do this at your work. Than you can be sure the Power Station will be ready for use again for
the next morning. Charging time takes approximately 10 to 12 hours.
With this, the carger consumes about 200 W. In consequence, when charging 5 times a week it consumes
about 1 kW. This corresponds with ca. 0,30 Euro costs of electricity/week.
At any rate, discus the possible charging of the Power Station at your work with your employer and make
him confirm his approval to you!
Subordinated to the temperature and the hibernal conditions you might as well confine with significant
shorter time switching moments. This also shortens the charging time of the battery.
In this case, always remember to take the Power Station and the charger with you.
When the vehicle has started, remove the heating pads from the window(s). For this end you loosen the
clamp from the suction cup, slightly lift up the side of the suction cup with, for example your finger nail and
the suction cup will loosen. Store the supports in such a way they are in a reach area for future usage.
Side effect:
You can also use the heating pad as a warming seat cover when driving to your work. Herefore, plug the
12 V-plug in the cigarette lighter of the vehicle. ATTENTION! Heating pad becomes very hot! Interrupt the
connection with the cigarette lighter whenever the warmth is getting too intense.
The heating pad is manufactured by means of fire retarding materials.
6.7 Operating the inspection light
The Power Station is supplied with an inspection light with three extremely bright LEDs. Plug the 12 V-plug
in of the two 12 V-output contacts of the Power Station. Subsequently, activate this output by pressing the
»START/BOOST«-key on the Power Station. The indicator »VOLTAGE OUT« lights up.
Switch on the inspection light. Then press the red illuminated key at the rear side of the lamp to switch ON
the inspection light. When pressing this illuminated key again, you will switch OFF the inspection light. If
the ON/OFF-key is not illuminated there is no connection to the 12 V-power source or this connection is
interrupted. Check the plug connection and the wiring to the lamp.
The inspection light is provided with a cable of 275 cm. With this, illuminating places a little further away
is very well possible. The inspection light can also be used when connected directly to the 12 V-vehicle
contact.
Do not illuminate people or animals directly. Do not shine in someones eyes and do not look straight
into the beam of light.
Make sure not to blind other road users when operating the inspection light.
If the cabling of the lamp is damaged, it may not be used anymore. The cable needs to be changed
by a capable specialist. Turn to a specialist store for electric devices or send the inspection light to
our service department

Maintenance and cleaning
Use a slightly moisty cloth to clean the Power Station from time to time. Do not use any hard or Sharp
objects, neither use any cleaning liquids which contain alcohol and/or co-solvent.
Do not dip the De Power Station or compartments of it into liquids! Do not pour any liquids over it!
Always protect the Power Station against humidity.
