Fabric
Ironing recommendations
Iron carefully. Do not use steam
ironing to prevent water from drip-
ping out of soleplate and staining
the fabric
Iron on reverse side, fabric cannot
withstand high heat. Acetate dries
fast and needs little ironing
Iron using a damp press cloth
High heat may cause discoloration,
shrinkage, or melting of fabric
Do not use spray on silk to avoid
water marks
Use spray or damp press cloth to
iron wool. High heat may cause
shrinkage
Steam ironing is recommended
position.
4. Wait for the soleplate to reach selected temperature (heating indicator will go
out). Unplug the iron.
5. Position the iron horizontally above the sink. Turn the steam output control dial
all the way to the right and hold in
and forth. Steam and hot water releasing from soleplate will remove scale and
other debris.
6. By the end of self-cleaning procedure open and empty the water tank. Close the cap.
7. Wait for soleplate to cool down thoroughly and wipe with damp cloth. Repeat the
procedure if necessary.
NOTE! Set steam output control dial into
Use tap water to carry out self-cleaning procedure. Never fill water tank with liquid
detergent!
To clean soleplate
Before cleaning the soleplate ensure that iron is unplugged and cooled down thor-
oughly. Cool soleplate can be wiped with damp cloth or sponge. Do not use abrasive
cleaners, aggressive chemicals, and abrasive or metal sponges.
Iron storage
The appliance must be stored in a dry location away from direct sunlight or heating
appliances. Store iron in the vertical position to avoid damage to the soleplate. To keep
the soleplate in good condition do not allow it to come into contact with metal and
other hard or sharp objects.
Always store the iron empty to prevent lime scale build-up that may stain fabric during
ironing.
