SPECIAL WARNINGS
• For personal safety, it is important to observe these instru-
ctions, which must be kept in a safe location for future con-
sultation.
• This manual contains important provisions for installation
safety; incorrect installation procedures may lead to seri-
ous hazards.
• Partial reading of these instructions will not enable users to
fully exploit the product features.
• HSRE12 is compatible with the detectors, transmitters,
keypads, and control panels in the Nice Home Security
system. Any other use is to be considered improper and
is strictly prohibited! Nice declines all liability for damage
resulting from improper use of the product and other
than as specified in this manual.
1 - PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The HSRE12 radio receiver is suitable for the reception of alarm
signals sent by detectors, which it then transmits to wired con-
trol panels via the 12 outputs (zones); in this way wired systems
can be expanded without the need for laying additional cables.
HSRE12 operates on the frequencies of 433 and 868 MHz
with rolling code technology to guarantee optimal safety lev-
els. It is equipped with 12 outputs on which a maximum of
32 radio devices can be memorised.
HSRE12 can memorise all types of detectors (for the protec-
tion of doors and windows, approach and presence), all
types of transmitters and keypads in the Nice Home System
range. The receiver can be combined with any type of con-
trol panel, from which it is powered (12 Vdc) and to which it
can supply up to 12 alarm outputs and 4 fault signal outputs,
via voltage-free contacts. The status of each output is dis-
played by the relative indicator light "ALL".
The HSRE12 receiver can also be used to control any type of
electrical equipment, such as automatic gates, lights, irriga-
tion systems and similar devices. In this case, the user must
take into account the absorption of the connected device
and, if necessary, add a suitable interface relay (fig. 3).
2 - INSTALLATION
Warnings
• Caution! Even though the product is not subject to haz-
ardous voltages, installation of the HSRE12 receivers
and controlled devices must be carried out by qualified
technical personnel, in observance of these instructions
and current standards and legislation in the area. All
electrical connections must be made with the unit dis-
connected from the mains power supply.
• HSRE12 receivers are designed exclusively for installation
indoors; the housing has no protection against water, and
only offers the basic protection against contact with solid
parts. Never position the receivers in areas with inade-
quate protection.
• The housing should only be drilled in the specified loca-
tions for routing cables.
