Installation and regulation
of power tool elements
Before carrying out any works on the power tool it
must be disconnected from the mains.
Do not draw up the fastening elements
too tight to avoid damaging the thread.
Mounting / dismounting / setting-up of
some elements is the same for all power
tool models, in this case specific models
are not indicated in the illustration.
Additional handle (see fig. 1-4)
Always use the additional handle 4 when operating
Additional handle 4 may be positioned as deemed
comfortable by the user
[BH09-26,
BH11-28,
BH14-32, H-1200 VS]
• Loose additional handle 4 as shown in fig. 1.
• Place additional handle 4 in desired position
• Tighten additional handle 4 as shown in fig. 1.
[H15-11 V, DBR14-30]
• Loose clamping nut 19 as shown in fig. 2-4.
• Place additional handle 4 in desired position
• Tighten clamping nut 19 as shown in fig. 2-4.
Depth stop (see fig. 5-8)
Use depth stop 6 to set a required drilling depth (see
fig. 5-8).
BH-1200,
BH12-40
[BH09-26, BH11-28]
• Loose additional handle 4 as shown in fig. 5.
• Move depth stop 6 to set a required drilling depth
(see fig. 6).
• Tighten additional handle 4 as shown in fig. 5.
[BH-1200, BH12-40 V, BH14-32]
• Slacken clamping screw 5 (see fig. 7).
• Move depth stop 6 to set a required drilling depth
(see fig. 8).
• Tighten clamping screw 5
Mounting / replacement of accessories (see
fig. 9-11)
During the mounting of the tool please
prove that the dust protection casing 2 is
not damaged. In the case of damage the
dust protection casing 2 is to be replaced
immediately at the specialized DWT Service
Centre.
Borers SDS PLUS and SDS MAX, due to the
design peculiarities of chucks SDS PLUS
and SDS MAX, can move freely within a
certain range This is why a radial run-out
appears at no-load idle running, which is automatically
centred at drilling. It does not influence hole-drilling ac-
curacy
• Before installing the borer (chisel), clean it and lubri-
cate the shank with a thin layer of oil
[BH09-26,
BH11-28,
BH14-32, H-1200 VS, H15-11 V]
• When mounting borer (chisel):
• move fixing bush 3 back and hold it in this position
(see fig. 9.1);
• insert (slightly twisting) the borer (chisel) into
the chuck 1 (SDS PLUS) or into the chuck 15
(SDS MAX) against stop (see fig. 9.2);
• release fixing bush 3 (see fig. 9.3);
• test the borer (chisel) fixing by trying to remove
it from chuck 1 (SDS PLUS) or from chuck 15
(SDS MAX)
• When removing borer (chisel):
• move fixing bush 3 back and hold it in this position
(see fig. 10.1);
• extract the borer (chisel) from the chuck 1
(SDS PLUS) or from chuck 15 (SDS MAX) (see fig.
V,
102);
• release fixing bush 3 (see fig. 10.3).
[DBR14-30]
• Release the retainer 22 as shown in figure 11.1.
• Install / replace the working accessory When install-
ing the working accessory, it is necessary to clear the
shank end preliminarily Install the accessory only as
shown in the figure: the groove on the accessory must
face the retainer 22
• Lock the retainer 22 as shown in figure 11.2.
Gloves are to be used when removing the
borer (chisel) from chuck, as the borer
(chisel) may be dangerously hot after
long drilling.
