6. Settings
Performing upgrade
1. Download firmware from www.wika.de.
The zip file "UPGRADE" contains a folder "upgrade". Copy this folder to the USB data
carrier (drive letter:\upgrade)
The USB stick must have a USB 2.0 port or higher. It must also be of high
quality and fast.
2. Connect USB data carrier to the switched off analytic instrument.
Do not use USB extension cables when connecting the USB memory stick!
3. Connect the analytic instrument to the mains (no battery operation).
4. Switch on analytic instrument.
5. Wait until the installation is finished. Do not disconnect the analytic instrument from
the mains during installation.
The following screen will appear during installation.
If this screen does not appear, the USB data carrier is too slow or the
folder path is incorrect.
6. If required calibrate the touchscreens. Confirm the positions of 5 cross hairs with the
touchpen.
7. Disconnect the USB data carrier from the analytic instrument after the "Update
completed" message shows up.
