SECURITE DANS L'EMPLOI
DES SOURCES DE COURANT

L'appareil que vous venez d'acquérir vous donnera
entière satisfaction si vous respectez ses conditions
d'emploi et d'entretien.
Sa conception, la spécification des composants et sa
fabrication sont notamment en accord avec la
réglementation en vigueur, les normes françaises (NF)
et des recommandations internantionnales ISO et de la
CEI.
Son utilisation nécessite l'observation de règles de
sécurité et, en particulier, celles fixées par le décrêt 62
1454 du 14 Nov. 62 relatif aux mesures de protection
vis- à-vis des courants électriques.
Pour votre sécurité nous vous indiquons ci-après,
une liste non limitative de recommandations ou
obligations dont une partie importante figure dans le
code du travail.
1. SECURITE ELECTRIOUE
1.1. BRANCHEMENT SUR LE RESEAU DES SOURCES
DE COURANT DE SOUDAGE
Avant de raccorder votre appareil, vous devez vérifier
que :
. Le compteur, le dispositif de protection contre les sur-
intensités et l'installation électrique, sont compatibles
avec sa puissance maximale et sa tension
d'alimentation (cf. les plaques signalétiques).
. Le branchement, monophasé ou triphasé avec terre,
est réalisable sur un socle compatible avec la fiche de
son câble de liaison.
. Si le câble est branché à poste fixe, la terre, si elle est
prévue, ne doit jamais être coupée par le dispositif de
protection contre les chocs électriques.
. Son interrupteur, s'il existe, est sur la
position
ARREP.

1.2. POSTE DE TRAVAIL
La mise en oeuvre du soudage à l'arc implique le strict
respect des conditions de sécurité vis-à-vis des
courants électriques (Section III, art. 25).
Assurez vous qu'aucune pièce métallique accessible
aux soudeurs et à leurs aides ne peut entrer en contact

The equipment which you have just acquired will give
you complete satisfaction if you respect the operating
and maintenance instructions.

When being used, safety rules must be observed, and in
particular, those relating to measures for protection
against eiectrical currents.
For your safety, we shall give bebw a non-
exhaustive list of recommendations or requirements.
1. ELECTRICAL SECURITY
1.1 CONNECTION TO THE NETWORK OF THE
WELDING CURRENT SOURCE
Before connecting up your equipment, you must check
that :
.The meter, the system for protection against over-
currents and the electrical installation are compatible
with its maximum power and its power voltage (cf.
instruction plates) ;
,The singlephase or threephase connection with earth
can be effected by way of a socket compatible with the
plug of ifs connecting cable ;
.If the table is connected to a fixed station, the earth,
it is provided, is nover to be cut by the protective
system against electrical shocks.

1.2 WORK STATION
The use of cutting implies a strict respect of safety
conditions with regard to electrical currents.
ft is necessary to check that no matai piece accessible
to the operators and to their assistants can corne into
direct or indirect contact with a phase conductor and the
neutral of the supply network.
Connect all metal masses of the installation within the
range of the operator to one point.
This point is to be earthed. Ail these connections should
be made using conductors with a cross
