3. FIELD OF USE
Tite caracteristics of continuous Nertalic welding pro vides for butt
welding in all positions of plates of the following thircknesses
0.6 to 3,0 mm with dia. 0,8 mm wire i Steel
0.5 to 1,5 mm with dia. 0.6 mm wire
1.5 to 3 mm with dia. 1.0 mm
Protective
gas
Through a timing system it is possible to spot assembly two super-posed
plates on a single side and in all positions ( 1 1 mm) with dia. 0.8 mm
wire.
In the case assembly two fine plates ( th. 0.6 to 1.5 mm) with the edges
to be welded separated (up to 2 mm) a timing system produces a weld
bead by juxtaposing small weld spots.
By keeping constant pressure on the trigger you will trigger off a con ti-
nuous succession of arc (welding) and stopping (weld cooling) periods.
This welding cycle is fully automatic, the unreeling and starting time can
the set and the front panel of the generator by P6 and P7.
To straighten out distorted plates 'vithout having to remove the dents
on the opposite side.
Systetn :
Consists of welding ( by M1G spot welding) studs or (iller bead segments
to the distorted point using the «stud-extractor» apparatus to return
the plates to their original position.
Operating Procedure
Strio the distorted area (disking).
butait the studding tip on the Mamig 201 torch.
On the SAFOR Al 160 set the range switch onto spot welding... timing
Ref 4.
Setting
For dia. 0.6 electrode wire, set the wire speed ref 2 voltage switch
Ref 2.
For dia. 0.8 electrode wire, set the wire speed ref 2 voltage switch
Ref 2.
Cut a segment of j'iller bead of dia. 2 or 2.5 - WELD
Using the stude-extractor apparatus, clamp the bead of tire apparatus
onto one of the welded studs, actuate the sliding weight so as to gra-
dually return the distorted area to the original position of the plate.
Cut or shear the studs.
Disk the spot welds.
