User instructions
The AS-i valve terminal type 10 is designed exclusively for con-
trolling pneumatic actuators and may only be used in bus
systems in accordance with the AS-i specifications. The speci-
fied limit values for pressures, temperatures, electrical data,
moments, etc. must be observed when additional commercially-
available components such as sensors and actuators are
connected.
AS-i bus systems and AS-i valve terminals may only be in-
stalled by specially qualified personnel. Detailed specifications
on the design and addressing of the AS-i bus system can be
found in the manual for the AS-i master.
Detailed information on the pneumatic components of the valve
terminal can be found in the pneumatics manual P.BE-CPV-.... .
WARNING
• Switch off the power supply before connecting or
disconnecting plugs (otherwise functioning may
be impaired).
• Connect a protective earth conductor with sufficient
cross section to the functional earth/ground connection
marked with
on an earthed machine stand.
PLEASE NOTE
Commission only a valve terminal which is completely
fitted and wired.
