key override
Important:
The key override does not retract the latch!
Do not force it, as you could damage the lock.
1. Turn the override key 45° towards the latch
to the stop position (figure 9-1) (left-hand
lock is shown).
2. With the key in position, pull the outside
paddle to retract the latch and open the door.
3. Turn back the key 45° to a vertical position
and remove it from the lock.
4. Test the lock to ensure that the override has
been disengaged by pulling the outside
paddle. The latch should not retract.
Using the combination

lockout
The mechanical key override can disable the lock
so that entry combinations cannot be used to
gain access. To engage the combination lockout,
proceed as follows.
1. Turn the override key 90° away from the latch
to the stop position as shown (figure 10-1)
(left-hand lock is shown).
2. Turn the key back 90° back to a vertical
position and remove it from the lock.
3. Test the lock to ensure that the lockout has
been engaged by depressing the combination,
pushing & releasing the ENTER button,
and pulling the outside paddle.
The latch should not retract.
To disengage the combination lockout,
proceed as follows.
1. Turn the key 45° towards the latch to the
stop position as shown (figure 10-2)
(left-hand lock is shown).
2. Turn the key back 45° to a vertical
position and remove it from the lock.
3. Test the lock to ensure that the lockout
has been disengaged by depressing the
combination, pushing & releasing the ENTER
button, and pulling the outside paddle.
The latch should retract.

Importante:
La anulación de automatismo mediante llave no repliega
el pestillo. No lo fuerce, pues podría dañar la cerradura.
1. Gire la llave 45° hacia el pestillo hasta la posición
de detención (figura 9-1) (aquí se muestra un
cerrojo izquierdo).
2. Con la llave en esta posición, tire de la paleta
exterior para replegar el pestillo y abrir la puerta.
3. Gire la llave 45° para devolverla a su posición
vertical y retírela de la cerradura.
4. Pruebe la cerradura para asegurarse de que la
anulación de automatismo se ha soltado al tirar
de la paleta exterior. El pestillo no debe replegarse.
Utilización del bloqueo
de combinaciones
La anulación mecánica de automatismo mediante llave
puede deshabilitar la cerradura de forma que no se
puedan utilizar combinaciones para obtener acceso.
Para activar el bloqueo de combinaciones, siga las
siguientes instrucciones.
1. Gire la llave 90° en dirección contraria al pestillo
hasta la posición de detención (figura 10-1)
(aquí se muestra una cerradura izquierda).
2. Vuelva a girar la llave 90° a la posición vertical
y retírela de la cerradura.
3. Pruebe la cerradura para asegurarse de que el
bloqueo se ha activado: introduzca la combinación,
apriete y suelte el botón ENTER y tire de la paleta
exterior. El pestillo no debe replegarse.
Para desactivar el bloqueo de combinaciones,
siga el procedimiento siguiente.
1. Gire la llave 45° hacia el pestillo hasta la posición
de detención (figura 10-2) (aquí se muestra una
cerradura izquierda).
2. Vuela a girar la llave 45° a su posición vertical
anterior y retírela de la cerradura.
3. Pruebe la cerradura para asegurarse de que el
bloqueo se ha desactivado: introduzca la
combinación, apriete y suelte el botón
ENTER y tire de la paleta exterior. El pestillo
debe replegarse.
