8.2 Activation and calibration of
level monitor
To activate and simultaneously calibrate the level monitor
proceed as follows:
Connect the sensor cable to the main unit and the

vacuum bottle.
Make sure the vacuum bottle is empty and the sen-
●
sor pins in the lid are dry.
Turn off VacuSafe at the power switch.

Press the SELECT button and simultaneously turn
●
VacuSafe back on again at the power switch.
Keep the SELECT button pressed until the number
●
100 or above (software version number) appears on
the display.
Let go of the SELECT button and wait 5 seconds.

VacuSafe is now calibrated for the new cable.
If calibration has failed, you will hear a periodic
●
double tone and the sensor display will light up.
Check the cable connection, clean and dry the lid,
and repeat the calibration procedure.

The level monitor now remains switched on until
deactivation (see section 8.3).
8.3 Deactivation of level monitor
In order to deactivate the level monitor proceed as follows:
Turn off VacuSafe at the power switch.

Press the two buttons UP and DOWN and simulta-
●
neously turn VacuSafe back on again at the power
switch.
Keep the two UP and DOWN buttons pressed until
●
the number 100 or above (software version
number) appears on the display and disappears
again.
Let go of the UP and DOWN buttons and wait 5
●
seconds. The level monitor is now deactivated.
When the level monitor is deactivated, every time VacuSafe
is turned on the sensor display and audible signal will be
switched on three times in order to inform you. If you wish
to reactivate the level monitor, proceed as described in sec-
tion 8.2.
