NOTE

A non-return valve must be installed immediately upstream or downstream the meter in the
metering line if correct measured data is to be obtained
The meter should be installed in a rising metering line, in order to avoid inclusions of air
The connecting adapters (1) available as accessories for Type
1
OGM must be installed on the inlet and outlet sides of the oval
2
gear meter. Particular attention must be devoted in this context to
ensuring that the appurtenant O-ring seals (2) are installed in the
correct position.
The necessary connecting adapters (1) and the appurtenant
O-ring seals (2) can be found in Section 9, "Spare parts and ac-
cessories".
On the Type OGC oval gear meter, the connecting adapters (1),
including the O-ring seals (2), are already pre-installed.
2
A pipe can also be directly connected using a corresponding in-
1
sert instead of the hose-connecting glands.

The sensor should be in-
stalled as follows (Fig. 5.4):
•
•
•
Tighten the inductive sensor only hand-tight, since there is otherwise a danger of the cover
bulging inward and jamming the oval gearwheels
The oval gear meter should be fixed to the console using
suitable bolts.
Installation of the console for fixing to the wall can be omit-
ted if the oval gear meter is to be installed in a rigid pipe.
Screw the sensor in up to
the stop point using the
tips of two fingers
Turn the sensor back (in
the "screw-out" direction)
by 90°
Lock in position using lock-
nut
