4. Initial use
Check that the product and the components are intact and that the appliance is
working properly when using it for the first time. Remove the kettle and the base
station out of the packaging and connect the base to a properly installed earthed
socket.
Wipe the surface of the kettle using a slightly dampened cloth. To remove any
manufacturing residues, fill the water container once with cold water up to the
maximum mark before using it for the first time. Boil the water on by pressing the
"ON / OFF (
)" button and then pressing the "ON / OFF (
The 100°C starts flashing on the sensor bar. The currently measured temperature
lights up. Discard the water after the initial boiling.
