5.0 OPERATION

NEBULISER

•
Hold the nebuliser in an upright position where possible.
•
Two applications are possible: continuous inhalation and
temporary inhalation. For continuous inhalation, push the
locking device (Figure 15 a/b) downwards in the direction
indicated by the arrow in order to secure the blue lever for the
desired duration of nebulisation. For temporary inhalation,
hold down the blue lever.
•
To perform inhalation, sit in a relaxed pose and breath in and
out evenly.
•
To allow your airways to become accustomed to the aerosol,
do not breathe in too deeply during the first breaths you
inhale.
•
In order to increase breathing resistance, you can place the
PEP cap on to the expiration valve on the top section of the
nebuliser (Figure 16).

Check each time before use whether the air filter is clean and dry. Moist or contaminated air filters must be replaced
The air filter is a single-patient product and must be replaced at least every 4 weeks (depending on frequency of use).

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE DEVICE
The device must not be operated without the air filter!
Therefore, have at least one spare air filter ready!
For your own safety, use disposable gloves when replacing the air filter!

ATTACHMENTS

When using the mouthpiece, enclose it fully with your lips
(Figure 17).
•
During inhalation, the LARYVOX

using the adapter.

Press the inhalation mask/tracheostoma mask gently over
your face/tracheostomy/nose (Figure 18 - 20), relax, and
breath in.
•
During inhalation, the nosepiece must be connected to the
nebuliser using the adapter. Then hold the nosepiece to the
nose (Figure 20).
•
When breathing out, the inhalation mask/tracheostoma
mask/nosepiece should be held a small distance (the width
of a finger) away from your face/tracheostomy/nose.
