password.
To activate the password function, access the sub-menu,
keeping the key C pressed, with the knob K move to PAS and
with the knob J put on ON, confirm by pressing the key C
once; when igniting the machine, the writing PAS will appear
on display H and with knob J insert the password (displayed
on display I) and confirm with the key C.
If the code is incorrect, the generator will block, displaying the
writing ERR 72 and to insert the password again, it is
necessary to switch the generator off and on.
The password code is supplied together with the machine and
cannot be changed.
It is recommended to keep it separate, and in case of loss,
contact the after-sales assistance.
The generator leaves the factory with the PAS function on
OFF.

2.4 MOTOR-DRIVEN GENERATORS

They must have an electronic regulator of the tension, a
power equal to or greater than 4,8 kVA for item 224 and
7 kVA for item 228 (single phase) and must not deliver a
voltage greater than 260V RMS.
3 CONTROLS ON THE FRONT PANEL (Pict. 1)
Key F
Key for the recall, the amendment, the deletion or the
memorisation of the programmes.
Selection key C.
Each brief pressure selects the size, adjustable via the knob
K. The values that may be selected are in relation to the type
of welding process selected, and are displayed on the LEDs
A/B/D/E. Holding the key down for more than three seconds
will open the "service functions" menu. Within the "service
functions," holding the button down returns the selected
function to the manufacturer setting; pressing it briefly
confirms the changes made and returns to welding.
LED A PROG.
Selected via the button C, and using the knob K sets:
The numbers of the programs for MIG welding and TIG and
MMA welding processes.
The numbers and abbreviations are shown on the display H.
LED B Thickness.
The display H shows the recommended thickness based on
the current and wire speed set for MIG welding.
LED D Wire speed.
Indicates that the display H shows the MIG welding wire
speed.
LED E Current.
Indicates that the display H shows the reset welding current.
Active in all welding processes.
Knob K.
In relation to the selected LED, regulates:
- number of the MIG program or TIG or MMA welding
processes (LED A).
- thickness (LED B), wire speed (LED D) in MIG welding.
- welding current (LED E) in any welding process.
In the service functions select the abbreviations:
For the MIG: Sin, trg, SP, SPt, int, HSA, SC, SCt, slo, PrF,
PoF, Acc, bb, L, PAS, Fac.
For MMA: tHS, AF, PAS, Fac.
For TIG: trg, Slo, Prf, Pof, PAS, Fac.
Knob J.
In MIG adjusts the welding voltage, changing the arc length.
Display H.
In all welding processes, it numerically displays the selections
made via the button C and adjusted via the knob K. For the
welding current (LED E) it displays the Amperes. For the wire
speed (LED D) it displays the meters per minute. For the
thickness (LED B) it displays the millimeters. For (LED A) it
displays the set program number. In service functions it
displays the abbreviations: Sin, trg, SP, SPt, int, HSA, SC,
SCt, slo, PrF, PoF, Acc, bb, L, PAS, Fac, tHS, AF.
For the parameters within the service functions that are shown
on the display H, see the paragraph on service functions.
Display I.
In all welding processes, it displays the welding voltage; in
MMA and TIG mode the open-circuit voltage, and during
welding the load voltage. In MIG the pre-set Voltage and the
correction of the arc length set using the knob J (value
between –9.9 and 9.9; zero is the recommended value). For
the parameters in the MMA, TIG and MIG service function,
that are shown on the display I, see the paragraph on service
functions.
G - Central adapter.
This is where the welding torch is to be connected.
M – Negative socket.
In MMA and MIG welding with gas, the earth cable connects
here; in TIG and MIG welding with flux-cored wire without gas,
insert the torch power cable coming out from fairlead N.
L – Positive socket
In MMA welding, connect the electrode clamp; in MIG with
gas, the power cable coming out from fairlead N; in TIG and
MIG welding with flux-cored wire without gas, the earth cable.
N - Fairlead
Torch power terminal output.
4 CONTROLS ON THE REAR PANEL (Pict. 2).
O - Switch.
Turns the machine on and off.
