OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
DAPS-4000/4+ USB ChARGER

INTENDED USE
The product is suitable for charging and operating up to 4 USB devices simultaneously. Power is supplied
via a household power outlet. The product features overcurrent, overvoltage and short circuit protection
mechanisms. Use the product in dry indoor areas only.
For safety and approval purposes (CE), you must not rebuild and/or modify this product. If you use
the product for purposes other than those described above, the product may be damaged. In addition,
improper use can cause hazards such as short circuiting, fire, electric shock etc. Read the instructions
carefully and keep them. Make this product available to third parties only together with its operating
instructions.
This product complies with the statutory national and European requirements. All company names and

SAfETy INSTRUCTIONS
Read the operating instructions carefully and especially observe the safety information.
If you do not follow the safety instructions and information on proper handling in theses
operating instructions, we assume no liability for any resulting personal injury or
damage to property. Such cases will invalidate the warranty/guarantee.
a) Persons / Product
• The device is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. These may become dangerous
playing material for children.
• Protect the product from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong jolts, high humidity,
moisture, flammable gases, vapours and solvents.
• Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
• If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of operation and protect it
from any accidental use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the product:
- is visibly damaged,
- is no longer working properly,
- has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
- has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.
• Please handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height can
damage the product.
• Also observe the safety and operating instructions of any other devices which are connected
to the product.
• Always lay the cables so that nobody can trip over or become entangled in them. This poses
a risk of injury.
• The mains outlet must be located near to the charger and be easily accessible.
• Unplug the mains plug from the mains socket while the charger is not in use.
• Disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket in thunderstorms for reasons of safety.
• Never pull the mains plug from the socket by pulling at the cable. Always pull it from the
mains socket using the intended grips.
• Do not touch the mains cable if it is damaged. First, power down the respective mains socket
(e.g. via the respective circuit breaker) and then carefully pull the mains plug from the mains
socket. Never use the product if the mains cable is damaged.
• A damaged mains cable may only be replaced by the manufacturer, a workshop
commissioned by the manufacturer or a similarly qualified person, so as to prevent any
danger.
• Make sure that the mains cable is not squeezed, bent, damaged by sharp edges or put
under mechanical stress. Avoid excessive thermal stress on the mains cable from extreme
heat or cold. Do not modify the mains cable. Otherwise the mains cable may be damaged. A
damaged mains cable can cause a deadly electric shock.
• The product gets hot during use. Ensure sufficient ventilation and never cover the product
during use.
• Never plug in or unplug the mains plug when your hands are wet.
• Do not short-circuit the USB outputs.
• Never use the product immediately after it has been brought from a cold room into a warm
one. The condensation generated could destroy the product. Allow the product to reach room
temperature before connecting and using it. This may take several hours.
• Never leave the product and the connected devices unattended during use.
b) Miscellaneous
• Consult a professional if you require assistance with product operation, safety or connection.

• Maintenance work, adjustments and repairs may be carried out only by a professional or at a
specialist workshop.

OPERATION
Always turn off the desired devices before connecting to the charger.
Make sure the connection is correct. If the product is not connected properly, it could
overheat or cause an electric shock or fire.
Make sure that your devices meet the product's power requirements
(see technical data).
The product features 4 USB ports, you can charge or operate several devices at the same time.
How to connect a single USB device is described below.
The current output of one single USB port must not exceed 2400 mA.
1. (Optional) Use an installation frame.
• Select the installation frame according to the diameter of the installation hole on your desktop.
• Pass the small end of the charger through the installation frame.
• Connect the mains cable to the charger.
• Let the mains cable go through the installation hole and seat the charger assembled with the
installation frame in the installation hole.
2. Connect the switched-off USB device to the charger.
3. Connect the mains cable to the charger.
4. Connect the mains cable to a household power outlet. The power indicator on the charger lights up to
indicate the charger is operational.
5. Your USB device is now charging. Should you wish to operate the USB device, you may turn it on now.
6. Turn off the USB device before you disconnect the charger from the household power outlet.
7. Unplug the mains cable from the household power outlet after use.
ClEANING
Disconnect the product from the household power outlet before cleaning. Clean the product with a dry,
fiber-free cloth.
DISPOSAl
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the household waste.
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product in accordance with applicable regulatory
guidelines.
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
