Camera Stops Taking Or Won't Take Photos/Videos
1. Check Micro SD Card.
a. Wrong type of micro SD card. Micro SD/SDHC/SDXC class
6 or higher speed, up to 512GB are supported.
b. Format the micro SD card. If the card is full, the camera will
stop taking images. To format a card: place the card in your
computer, go to "My Computer," right click on the folder the
sd card is under, select "Format,". Or enter camera MENU to
find "Format memory card".
c. Micro SD card is locked. Press Play key>Press MENU key
>Select "Write protect">>Select "Unlock all files".
d. Micro SD card is damaged. Change micro SD card.
2. Settings Issues. The camera switch is in TEST mode
instead of ON mode. Turn on "Time lapse"/"Target recording
time". The camera won't work as expected if it's in any of a
bove situations.
3. Placement Issues. If you place the camera too high and
don't angle it down enough (or angle it down too much),
then that might be why it's not taking pictures.
4. Perform a self-test by either walking or wave in the cameras
detection area for several minutes. Then view the SD card to
see if the camera took pictures. If it does not, that the camera
is bad.
5. If camera take day pictures but fails to take night pictures.
Check the IR flash: Place the camera in a dark room or cupboard,
it must be dark enough for the camera's light sensor to think
that it's nighttime, press SHOT to shoot in TEST mode to see
if there is a flash, If it does not, that the camera IR flash is bad.
