3. Proper use

The cutting stand is designed for the cutting of
metal using an angle grinder (with a cutting wheel
diameter of 230 mm).
The equipment is to be used only for its prescri-
bed purpose. Any other use is deemed to be a
case of misuse. The user / operator and not the
manufacturer will be liable for any damage or inju-
ries of any kind caused as a result of this.
Please note that our equipment has not been de-
signed for use in commercial, trade or industrial
applications. Our warranty will be voided if the
machine is used in commercial, trade or industrial
businesses or for equivalent purposes.

Keep the noise emissions and vibrations to a
minimum.
Only use appliances which are in perfect wor-
king order.

cessary.
Switch the appliance off when it is not in use.
Wear protective gloves.

Residual risks
Even if you use this electric power tool in
accordance with instructions, certain resi-
dual risks cannot be rules out. The following
hazards may arise in connection with the
equipment's construction and layout:
1. Lung damage if no suitable protective dust
mask is used.
2. Damage to hearing if no suitable ear protec-
tion is used.
3. Health damage caused by hand-arm vib-
rations if the equipment is used over a pro-
longed period or is not properly guided and
maintained.

5. Before starting the equipment

Before you connect the equipment to the mains
supply make sure that the data on the rating plate
are identical to the mains data.
Warning!
Always pull the power plug before making
adjustments to the equipment.
5.1 Assembling the cutting stand (Fig. 2-7)
Use the three screws (a) to fasten the swing
arm (4) on the base plate (1).
Next fasten the workpiece clamping device
(3) on the base plate (1).
Then fit the two adjusting screws for the angle
grinder (6) and the two fastening screws for
the angle grinder (2) as shown in Fig. 3.
The stand must always be securely fastened
to the workbench. Place the equipment on a
sturdy and level surface where it is well illumi-
nated.
5.2 Fitting the angle grinder to the cutting
stand
This cutting stand is designed for angle grinders
with a wheel diameter of 230 mm. Fit the angle
grinder as follows: First turn back the two adjus-
ting screws for the angle grinder (6). Next insert
the angle grinder and secure it with the two faste-
ning screws for the angle grinder (2).
Then turn the adjusting screws for the angle grin-
der (6) in order to secure the body of the angle
grinder so that it cannot twist. Finally fasten the
angle grinder cable in the cable clip (5) and fi t the
additional handle of the angle grinder (c) on the
swing arm (b)
6. Operation
Once the angle grinder has been secured to the
cutting stand you can switch on the angle grinder.
Hold the handle of the angle grinder and move
the cutting wheel slowly towards the workpiece.
When the wheel comes into contact with the
workpiece, apply uniform pressure and carry out
the cut. Upon completion of the cut, return the
angle grinder slowly to its starting position and
switch off the angle grinder.
Caution!
Let go of the angle grinder smoothly or it might
jerk back to its starting position under tension and
cause injuries.
