1 Turn FUNCTION to select the MD function and
insert an MD.
2 Select the group mode, and select the group to

3 Press MD EDIT/REC repeatedly (or hold down
SHIFT and press MD EDIT repeatedly on the
remote control) to display "Move X?".
4 Within 8 seconds, press GROUP DIRECT (or
GROUP (DIRECT) on the remote control).
"Move Gp X?" (X is the group number) is displayed.
5 Within 8 seconds, press ENTER/ILLUMINATION
(or ENTER/ILLUMI on the remote control).
6 Within 1 minute, turn VOLUME/MULTI JOG to
select the desired group number to move the
group to.
7 Within 8 seconds, press ENTER/ILLUMINATION
(ENTER/ILLUMI).
8 Remove the MD.
"WRITING" is displayed and the data concerning the
contents of the editing are registered.

Erasing tracks/groups
You can erase a single track, a group, or all tracks on a disc.
Erasing a single track
1 Turn FUNCTION to select the MD function and
insert an MD.
2 Select or play the track to be erased.
3 Press MD EDIT/REC repeatedly (or hold down
SHIFT and press MD EDIT repeatedly on the
remote control) to display "Erase X?" (X is the
track number).
4 Within 8 seconds, press ENTER/ILLUMINATION
(or ENTER/ILLUMI on the remote control).
"Erase? X?" is displayed.
To cancel, press s.
5 Within 1 minute, press ENTER/ILLUMINATION
(ENTER/ILLUMI).
The selected track is erased and all the succeeding track
numbers are decreased by 1.
"WRITING" is displayed, then "Complete" is
displayed.
