Level control
It is possible to select whether the control system is operated via the internal level sensor (ram pressure, air
bubbles) or an external 4 - 20 mA level sensor or float switch.
The input for the overflow alarm (terminal 23/24) is always active and can be used as a redundant monitoring
CAUTION!
system. As soon as terminal 23/24 is closed, the overflow alarm is triggered and the pumps are activated.
Components with the relevant approvals must be used when using external 4 - 20 mA level probes and float
switches that are installed in areas subject to potentially explosive atmospheres.
20 mA => level
This setting is used to compare the switch points and the level displayed on a connected external 4 – 20 mA
level probe. The processor converts the input signal so that the correct level is displayed.
CAUTION!
If the measuring range for the 4 - 20 mA probe is changed in the Settings menu, the switch points must then
be reset, as these will have been changed due to the way the system operates. The correct sequence is
therefore: always set the measuring range of the probe first, then the switch points.
The corresponding specifications must be observed for use in areas with a potentially explosive atmosphere,
i.e. a 4 - 20 mA probe with the relevant approval and a suitable explosion barrier must be used. If the switch
points are outside of the set range for the level probe, the following message is issued:
"Check the switch points".
