DESCRIPTION

TYPES OF WATER
You can use :
Tap water, distilled water for irons, water produced by a condenser tumble drier provided that it is
filtered (through a coffee filter), softened water.
Do not use :
Rain water, water from the fridge, water from any evaporating appliance, eau de Cologne, essence
de parfum, or any other liquid.

OPERATING THE APPLIANCE

Unclip the water tank opening tab and unscrew the filling cap.

While holding the iron horizontally, fill the iron until the tank just begins to overflow for a complete fill.
Caution: read the filling instruction carefully.

Close the filling cap and clip the opening tab into its housing.

Plug in the iron. The iron is now connected to the mains.

The soleplate temperature indicator light will light up.

Set the temperature dial to steam.

Please wait for 30 seconds before engaging the steam trigger.

The steam generator indicator light lights up. The iron will produce steam automatically after about 30 seconds.
You can begin ironing clothes that require a low temperature immediately.

INDICATOR LIGHTS

The red soleplate temperature indicator light indicates that the soleplate is being heated. It switches off when the
temperature selected on the temperature dial has been reached. This indicator light switches on and off regularly
during ironing. It is not connected to the steam generator indicator light.

The green steam generator indicator light indicates that the steam generator is heating up to produce steam. It is
controlled by the steam trigger. The steam generator indicator light switches on when the steam trigger is
pressed and switches off when the trigger is released.
CAUTION:
The steam generator indicator light does not light up if the water tank is empty when the trigger is
pressed. Fill the water tank if this occurs.

FILLING THE RESERVOIR

Always fill the iron before you begin ironing.
CAUTION: Overfilling the water tank, while holding the iron tilted forwards, for example, may cause hot water
to run out of the soleplate during the heating process, creating a burn hazard.
- Release the steam trigger and unplug the iron.
CAUTION:Leaving the iron switched on with the steam trigger pressed in may cause the water to boil in the
steam generator, creating a burn hazard.

Unclip the water tank filling tab and unscrew the filling cap.

Fill the iron with up to 350 ml of water. Keep the iron horizontal or place it flat on the iron rest or any other
suitable surface.
– Tighten the tab and put it back into its housing.
– Plug in the iron.
– Press the steam trigger.
CAUTION: Use only water in the iron. Never put any other liquid or solid in the filling aperture.
