Organic vapours against which protection is given by filters different from the AX type (for example B, E, K)

Group

B)
The filters AX offer protection against the chemical compounds belonging to group 1 and 2 up to the maximum
concentrations as mentioned in the following table. Please take always into account the limitation for use of the various
type of masks (considering as threshold limit the lower value resulting between the two):
Group 1
Group 2
C)
Use new, never used filters only, stored in their original packaging.
D)
The use of AX filters for protection against low boiling chemicals mixed with other organic gas/vapour compounds is
forbidden as one or more of these compounds couldn't be filtered.
E)
AX filter can be used as A2 filters only in absence of any low boiling compound. A1 and A2 filters must not be used against
organic compounds with a low boiling point.
NO filters
Besides the limitations for use of the various types of masks (taking as threshold limit the lower value resulting between the two),
NO filters can be used in case of concentrations of contaminant up to 2500 ml/m
CO filters
CO filters with the identification 'CO20' may be used once for a total of 20 minutes for protection even if carbon monoxide in not
present in the atmosphere during use. CO filters with the identification 'CO60' may be used once for a total of 60 minutes for
protection even if carbon monoxide in not present in the atmosphere during use. Carbon monoxide is odourless, tasteless and does
not irritate the airways. Only use CO filters in accordance with the service duration period specified on the marking. The end of the
service duration period cannot be determined otherwise.
Important note: Regardless of their time-limited protective effect against CO and NO, multi-use filters can be used beyond the duty
period of use for these substances to provide protection against the other specified substances.
