Disposal

Frequent reprocessing has only a minor influence on the service life of surgical instruments,
which is mainly a function of use-related wear and tear or damage. Please dispose of your
instruments in accordance with relevant local regulations, or have them properly recycled,
once they have reached the end of their life cycle.
The national regulations for waste disposal must be complied with!

Danger of prion infection and risk of damage of the NON-STICK
bipolar forceps due to improper use!
Destroy forceps after potential contact with prions (risk of CJD
contamination!) and do not use again under any circumstances!
Do not use the "Sterrad" plasma sterilization method!
Do not sterilize with hot air!
Do not use "flash" autoclaving!
Do not immerse in hydrogen peroxide (H
To avoid scratching polished working tips and insulation, do
not use abrasive cleaning tools!
Damage such as bent tips, loss of insulation due to cracks or splintered plastic
coating and wear.
Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD), instrument processing
department
Store forceps in a clean, cool and dry room. Protect against mechanical
damage! Use protective caps for forceps with sensitive tips.
Handle with extreme care, do not throw or drop. Store and transport in safe
containers / packing.
Disconnect forceps from connecting cable and clean thoroughly under running
water or with a aldehyde-free disinfectant directly after use (within a maximum
of 2 hours) to avoid that particles and dried secretions stick to the instruments.
