9.2 Terrestrial reception (DVBT)
Select „DVBT" from the input sources and con-
firm with „OK". Then press the „MENU" key
and select „Programme". Confirm with „OK"
and you reach the screen for search and anten-
na voltage. Set the antenna voltage to „On" if
you are using an active DVB-T antenna.
With „Automatic search", the entire frequency
band is searched and all stations are stored in
the memory.
With „Manual search", enter the channel and
the programmes on this channel are stored.
The corresponding frequency is displayed but
cannot be selected.
9.3 Satellite reception (DVBS)
Select „DVBS" from the input sources and
confirm with „OK". Then press the „MENU"
key and select „Programme". Confirm with
„OK" and you reach the screen for search and
antenna voltage. Set the antenna voltage to
„Off".
Since satellite reception is somewhat more
complex than DVB-C or DVB-T reception, we
will go into this in more detail below.
Hint:
A SAT scan overwrites the previous channel
list and a new channel list is loaded which is
stored in alphabetical order. Afterwards, you must sort all the channels manually into the desi-
red order.
Alternatively, you can carry out an „Automatic Search" with the search mode „Preset Scan"
and reload the programme list of the factory
setting with „Search" and „OK".
If you select „Fast Scan" or „Joyne Scan" as
the search mode, you must now select the
desired country (Austria in this example) to
load the corresponding programme list. The
48
correct provider is set automatically (here: HD
Austria). Go to „Search" and press „OK". The
desired channel list is now loaded if your SAT
antenna is aligned to the correct satellite (here:
ASTRA1).
9.3.Manual Channel Search Satellite
Select the input source „DVBS" with the
„SOURCE" key.
Press the „MENU" key to display the PRO-
GRAMME menu.
Select the „DVB-S manual search" and proceed as follows:
Satellite: Select the desired satellite with OK, the arrow keys and OK again when the desired
satellite is selected.
Transponder: Press OK, the arrow keys and OK again when the desired transponder is selected
to select the desired transponder (the transmission frequency, symbol rate and polarisation of
the transponder are displayed) on which you want to search for the channel.
Channel Type: Use the arrow keys to select whether you want to receive „All" channels or only
„Free" or only „Scrambled" channels.
Service Type: Use the arrow keys to select whether you want to search for and save radio, TV
(DTV) or all programmes.
Press OK to start the channel search on exactly this one transponder.
Note:
The manual search via a transponder does not overwrite the existing programme list, but
appends the programmes found to the existing programme list at the end. This is therefore very
suitable for storing an additional/new programme without deleting the existing programme list,
which happens with an automatic search over all transponders.
