3. Follow the on-screen instructions: once the calibration is
complete, the keypad returns to the Advanced Menu.
Firmware Update
The firmware controls the function of the keypad.
It is updated regularly to improve the functionality of the
keypad and/or to add in new features.
Check for firmware updates regularly for this keypad at the
sit www.bentelsecurity.com.
1. Insert an SD memory card with the firmware loaded on it
into the keypad.
WARNING: make sure you insert the SD memory card in the
right way round during the update (see Figure 1).
NOTE: this keypad supports up to 32 GB SD cards.
2. Press Home for about 3 seconds to access the
Advanced Menu.
3. Press Firmware Update: the screen shows the firmware
version installed on the keypad (Current Version) and
the version on the SD card (SD Card Version).
4. Press Update: the update may take some time; once it
is complete, the keypad returns to the Advanced Menu.
NOTE: this operation must repeated on all the keypads on the
system.
Refresh Labels
The M-Touch keypad labels added to an existing installa-
tion must be synchronised with those of the Control Panel,
as described below.
NOTE: If there are multiple M-Touch keypads, the operation
described below should be carried out only on one of the Key-
pads: the labels will be broadcasted to all M-Touch keypads
connected to the Control Panel.
1. Press Home for about 3 seconds to access the
Advanced Menu.
2. Press Refresh Labels:
3. Press OK to confirm.
4. Wait for the labels to load: this may take a few minutes.
5. When the loading is complete, press OK to go back to
the Advanced Menu.
Troubles
If a screen like the one below is displayed on the keypad, it
means that one of troubles listed below has occurred.
Bus trouble: the Keypad is unable to communicate with
the Control Panel; check wire connections.
Keypad not configured: the Keypad is not enrolled on the
control panel; enrol the keypad.
Panel Busy: the control panel is busy with another pro-
cess; wait until it becomes available.
Keys and light indicators
User Log In Light (green): if the light is on, it
indicates that a user is logged onto the keypad.
Armed Light (red): if the light is on, it indicates
that the system has been armed successfully.
Trouble Light (yellow): if the light is on, it indi-
cates that a system trouble is active.
Power Light (green): if the light is on, it indicates
that power is present at the keypad.
Home Key: press and hold for 3 seconds to access
the Advanced Menu*; press and hold for 10 sec-
onds to reset the keypad.
*Access to the options Keypad Address, Firm-
ware Update and Refresh Labels of the
Advanced Menu is only possible 30 minutes as
the last BPI reset.
RECYCLING INFORMATION
