12 Festplatte auswechseln
Das Festplatteneinschub (8) ist mit einer 160-GB-
Festplatte bestückt. Diese kann gegen eine andere
ausgewechselt werden. Es lassen sich Festplatten
mit Speicherkapazitäten von über 250 GB einset-
zen. Eine Liste von kompatiblen Festplatten finden
Sie in Kap. 13.2.
Es ist nicht möglich, die aufgezeichneten Videoda-
ten per Computer aufzurufen. Bei Betrieb der Fest-
platte auf einem Computer wird ihre FAT (file allo-
cation table) beschädigt.
12.1 Festplatte herausnehmen
1) Zum Herausnehmen der Festplatte muss der
Festplatteneinschub über das Schloss (9) entrie-
gelt werden. Dem Gerät liegen zwei Schlüssel bei.
Abb. 7 zeigt die möglichen Schlosspositionen:

Die Abdeckung (10) des Schlosses herunterklap-
pen, den Schlüssel ins Schloss stecken und ge-
gen den Uhrzeigersinn in Position B drehen.
2) Den Einschub aus dem Schacht ziehen.
3) Die Schrauben, mit denen die Festplatte an der
Unterseite des Einschubs befestigt ist, entfernen
und die Festplatte aus dem Einschub nehmen
4) Den Steckadapter für den Anschluss der Strom-
versorgung von der Festplatte abziehen.
12.2 Neue Festplatte einsetzen
1) Den Steckadapter auf den 4-poligen Stromver-
sorgungsanschluss der Festplatte aufstecken.
2) Die Festplatte so in den Einschub schieben, dass
sich die Anschlüsse unten befinden.
12 Replacing the Hard Disk
The hard disk insertion (8) is equipped with a
160 GB hard disk which can be replaced by another
one. Hard disks with a storage capacity of more than
250 GB can be used. A list of compatible hard disks
can be found in chapter 13.2.
It is not possible to call the recorded video data by
computer. When operating the hard disk on a com-
puter, its FAT (file allocation table) will be damaged.
12.1 Removing the hard disk
1) For removing the hard disk, the hard disk inser-
tion must be unlocked via its lock (9). Two keys
are supplied with the recorder. Fig. 7 shows the
two possible positions of the lock:

Fold down the cover (10) of the lock, insert the
key into the lock and turn it counter-clockwise to
position B.
2) Remove the insertion from the compartment.
3) Remove the screws fixing the hard disk to the
lower side of the insertion, then remove the hard
disk from the insertion.
4) Disconnect the power supply adapter from the
hard disk.
12.2 Inserting a new hard disk
1) Connect the adapter to the 4-pole power supply
connection of the hard disk.
2) Slide the hard disk into the insertion in such a
way that the connections are on the lower side.
3) Position the hard disk in the insertion in such a
way that the pins of the IDE terminal strip exactly

4) Den Einschub vollständig in den Schacht des
Recorders schieben, so dass er einrastet.
5) Zum Verriegeln des Einschubs den Schlüssel in
das Schloss stecken und im Uhrzeigersinn in die
Position A (Abb. 7) drehen.

4) Slide the insertion fully into the compartment of
the recorder until it locks into place.
5) To lock the insertion, insert the key into the lock
and turn it clockwise to position A (fig. 7).
